Mission

To raise awareness for the need and success of organ and tissue donation.  Utilizing community outreach programs including our signature Donate Live Walk, we will highlight the success, honor the donor’s and their families, and educate our community of the need for organ and tissue donation.  We will utilize every opportunity to increase the awareness and dispel misconceptions surrounding organ and tissue donation.

Donate Life Walk will support education opportunities for individuals whose lives have been significantly impacted by organ and tissue donation.  We will provide support to individuals seeking or supporting organ transplantation as well as transplant recipients.

To continue to impact our community in a positive manner by supporting individuals involved in all aspects of raising awareness and honoring donor families through our process.

Every year in America, thousands of people die while waiting for an organ transplant that never comes.  These people die unnecessarily.  The Sierra Nevada Donate Life organization and walk volunteer committee firmly believe that their participation in the Donate Life Walk For Awareness is an excellent way to educate the public about the country's dramatic need for organ and tissue donors while honoring donors and donor families.
